چکیده
Accurate and reliable bathymetric data are needed for a wide diversity of marine research management applications. Satellite-derived bathymetry represents time saving method to map large shallow waters remote regions compared the current costly in situ measurement techniques. This study aims create very high-resolution (VHR) habitat mapping Mayotte island (Indian Ocean) by fusing 0.5 m Pleiades-1 passive multispectral imagery active ICESat-2 LiDAR bathymetry. georeferenced photons were filtered remove noise corrected water column refraction. The point clouds validated using French naval hydrographic oceanographic service Litto3D® dataset then used calibrate image produce digital depth model (DDM). latter enabled creation albedo classify benthic habitats. provided down 15 with vertical accuracy estimates reaching 0.89 m. habitats produced maximum likelihood supervised classification an overall 96.62%. successfully VHR DDM solely from satellite data. Digital models higher further discussed light recent near-future launch spectral spatial resolution satellites.

Object-Based Greenhouse Mapping Using Very High Resolution Satellite Data and Landsat 8 Time Series
Greenhouse mapping through remote sensing has received extensive attention over the last decades. In this article, the innovative goal relies on mapping greenhouses through the combined use of very high resolution satellite data (WorldView-2) and Landsat 8 Operational Land Imager (OLI) time series within a context of an object-based image analysis (OBIA) and decision tree classification. Thus, ...
متن کاملComputationally Efficient Algorithms for Settlement Mapping Using Very High-resolution Satellite Imagery
There is a great need for identifying and characterizing human settlements at global scale. Though very high-resolution (VHR) imagery has proven to be highly useful in identifying human settlements, the algorithms and computational approaches have proven to be inadequate and very slow. Existing per-pixel based classification approaches are shown to be inadequate for characterizing urban neighbo...
متن کاملStereo Based Very High Resolution Satellite Image Classification Using Rpcs
Detection of urban objects in very high resolution (VHR) satellite imagery is challenging due to the similarities in the spectral and textural characteristics of urban land cover classes. Therefore, additional information such as elevation data is required for a proper classification. In this study, instead of LiDAR data, elevation information generated from satellite stereo images is used to a...
متن کاملMapping Road Traffic Conditions Using High Resolution Satellite Images
Construction, development and maintenance of the road network are central activities for several public authorities. In cooperation with the Norwegian road authorities, we have developed an approach for automated vehicle detection and generation of traffic statistics from QuickBird images. Satellite surveillance serves several obvious advantages over the methods that are being used today, which...

This paper aims to assess the accuracy and radiometric quality of orthorectified high resolution satellite imagery from Pleiades-1B satellites through a comparative evaluation of their quantitative and qualitative properties. A Pleiades-B1 stereopair of high resolution images taken in 2013, two adjacent GeoEye-1 stereopairs from 2011 and aerial orthomosaic (LSO) provided by NCMA S.A (Hellenic C...
